LETS CLEAN A CAST IRON
My favorite method is for food that is glued on:
Best to do as soon as you get done cooking
Add some water and bring to a boil.
Next Scape with a pan scaper remove all food stuck to pan
Pour into bowl with paper towel so grease doesn't go do the sink
Pour salt into pan and with a clean towel rub salt around removing food debris
Pour salt into trash
Rinse pan with a little bit of water
Place pan back on hot stove to remove moisture.
Add in your preferred oil or bacon grease to reoil the pan
Once pan is coated remove from heat and turn off the stove
